FAQ

What is virgin hair?

Virgin hair is weaving hair that has not been processed with color or texture altering chemicals. It is the most desired type of hair for extensions, due to its long-lasting nature and flexibility. It can usually be colored, straightened, curled, and otherwise styled for maximum versatility. It can last up to a year with proper care and storage.

What color does the hair come in?

DCVH hair comes in natural browns and blacks. Sometimes, hair color will differ in one bundle. Due to the natural nature of the hair, it is untouched. We recommend using professional rinses, coloring, toning, and bleaching products for DCVH hair. Professional products ensure maximum effectiveness of results.

Can I color my extensions?

Yes, absolutely. We recommend consulting a professional, since coloring will involve chemicals that can be unsafe if handled improperly. However, with proper research and use of professional products you can save on professional coloring services. Remember to wear gloves, eye and mouth protection, and to color your hair in a well-ventilated area to prevent pesky chemicals from irritating your skin or airway.

How much hair do I need for my install?

For a partial install, you will need 2-3 bundles of hair. For a full install, you will need 3-4 bundles of hair. Your choice of bundles depends on the fullness and manageability you desire. For longer lengths, we recommend 3 bundles instead of 4. Remember, the longer the track, the shorter the weft.

Can I straighten my hair?

Yes, with the exception of the Mongolian Kinky Curly Hair, our hair can be straightened, curled, wanded, etc. We recommend using frizz control and heat protection products to reduce the amount of straightening you have to do, and to protect your extensions. It is real human hair, and it can suffer damage thereby shortening its wear-life.

Do I have to wash and condition my hair?

Yes, we recommend washing and conditioning your extensions at least every 2-3 weeks to maintain bounce and manageability. The curlier your hair, the more you will have to moisturize. For example, the Mongolian Kinky Curly hair will need daily moisture and finger-combing to prevent tangling. Usually, your normal shampoo and conditioner are fine to use.

Where does your hair come from?

We utilize distributors based in Eastern Europe and Central and Eastern Asia.
